Humble beginnings have shaped my journey in profound ways. I certainly wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth, nor did I have the advantages that often accompany a privileged upbringing. The one memory I’ll forever have ingrained in my mind is my mother sitting at the dining table, poring over her big yellow notepad and stack of bills with a pen, a calculator, and her checkbook. Little did I know or understand at the time, she was making magic happen. Watching her do much with little left me with the lasting impression that how you perceive money and your relationship with it can either enhance or diminish your overall well-being.

When I became an adult with a family of my own, I soon realized my formal education and work experiences in corporate finance weren’t all the tools I needed to overcome the personal financial obstacles that “adulting” brings. I had to incorporate other resources to navigate through these new challenges and achieve my idea of financial health and wealth. While being better equipped with more advanced resources than the yellow notepad and calculator my mother relied on, I still had to pull from her strategies and mindset to make the best use of those resources and manage through my financial circumstances.

More month than money. Divorced. Laid off. Great income, but still not meeting financial goals. I’ve seen and navigated through all of these. If you can relate, just know there’s still hope. There can be better on the other side; and with my guidance I believe I can help you get there.
